because the organizer keeps suggesting we use old poems of mine that he likes, which is lovely and flattering, except that when he gives me their titles not only do I forget which books they came out in but I don’t even recall the poems themselves! It is sobering to realize that I have managed to publish so many poems over my lifetime that it is impossible for me to remember them all.
